Are you passionate
about raw foods? Are you thinking, “raw foods? You mean carrot sticks and
an apple?” Prefer traditional diets? Follow plant-based nutrition?
What nutritional path have you chosen for
good health?
If you answer is “I haven’t a clue!” then here is a great health tip to
get you on the right track. Eating more raw fruits and veggies will naturally increase your energy and improve your digestion:
Start eating 1 raw meal a day. What do I mean by that?
Try eating only a big salad with loads of raw veggies (you can include
diced avocado, nuts, seeds and oil cured olives in there for more heft and
satisfaction) for either lunch or dinner. This will automatically give you the
recommended daily intake of veggies you need – easily!
Another tip: skip the heavy salad dressing. Simply squeeze half a lemon
and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil for healthy fats and the cleansing
power of lemon.
A
NEW RAW DESSERT RECIPE – JUST FOR YOU!
What’s the deal with raw foods? Why are all
the stars and actors into eating this way? Well, look at them – their skin is
glowing and clear (ex: Demi Moore, Sting and Angela Bassett) and their body’s
are in top shape.
Here’s a simple way to work more raw foods
into your diet: dessert!
RAW CASHEW PUDDING
2 cups RAW cashews
2 tsp vanilla
extract
1/4 cups raw agave
syrup
tiny pinch sea
salt
1/2 cups water
Dump your
cashews into the food process and process into a fine flour. Add in the
vanilla, agave, sea salt and half of the water into your processor. This
pudding is going to be thick, so it can be hard to get it all mixed up by the
blades. Add more water (no more than the 1/2 cup) to thin it out and
pause every few seconds to scrape the sides with a spatula.
Eat fresh or
refrigerate for later – will keep for 2 days in a tightly sealed container.
Thank you for sharing this. Such a great recipe idea and useful tip.
